iPhone 12 Mini

Now, In the year 2021, the maximum phone size is bigger than Ever.

Again, so-called one-handed phones are also big. It’s quite thin and small. While Apple revealing the iPhone 12 Mini including the iPhone 12, 12 Pro, and the most bigger version iPhone 12 Pro Max. Then, It was a great time for small smartphone admirers like myself. iPhone lovers have been waiting for a long time to make Apple a small iPhone like iPhone 5,iPhone 5S, or the original iPhone SE.

A few months earlier in 2020, Apple raised our hopes up a little, because it launched the latest iPhone SE that packed the whole system of the iPhone 11 Pro inside the compact body of the iPhone 8. This is a decent phone for such a price, though the design is backdated; three years old.

A thought may come to your mind that if you make something smaller; there might be something trade-off, continuously I am asking myself what specifications Apple compromised to built a small phone in 2021.

But still, the iPhone 12 Mini has all the specification iPhone 12’s got—only it’s smaller. iPhone 12 Mini has the same flagship configuration and design, compatibility for 5G and OLED with HDR displays.

The display panel is protected by Apple’s ceramic protector. The iPhone 12 Mini has IP68 certification which means 12 Mini is waterproof and dust resistant. Now, Apple introduces MagSafe and it offers us wireless chargers and accessories. iPhone 12 Mini runs the same iOS 14 operating system; the chip is an A14 Bionic processor as well as the same cameras. Both iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini have the same configuration, the difference is one phone is big and another isn’t.

A 5.4-inch OLED display is available on the iPhone 12 Mini and costs:

  1. USA-$729
  2. Europe-£699
  3. Australia-$1,199

If you buy it from Virgin Mobile Phones Store USA or Canada, you will get a discount. Virgin mobile offers sweet pay:

  1. Down payment $1008; Buy your phone upfront Plans from $28/MO.
  2. $208 down; $3334/MO.for 24 months

With this phone and service offer, you can save almost $145 USD.

On these phones, operators often run a range of discounts and offers, mainly when you exchange in an old iPhone.

As a whole, the small body size, iOS 14 swipe-friendly navigation, and close to zero screen-to-body ratios consider this small smartphone almost ideal… Um yeah, for me. But perhaps it won’t be for you. For one-handed use, the small screen is fantastic, for reading or viewing articles you might not be happy with the small display panel.

There are going to be a lot of users who find the onscreen keyboard buttons too small. For those users, the tech giant Apple is offering the iPhone 12 and the bigger version iPhone 12 Max pro. Still, Apple beats all the competition by launching a one-handed useable iPhone.

The iPhone 12 Mini : Small and Lightweight

iPhone 12 Mini Size Comparison
iPhone 12 Mini Size Comparison

Because of its polished aluminum edges and a glossy glass back panel, the iPhone 12 Mini appears like a premium variety of the iPhone 5, which is a positive thing. In reality, it’s slightly larger than the iPhone 5 and shorter than the iPhone SE 2020. iPhone 12 Mini also has a relatively high screen-to-body ratio than the SE, and that is perfect for watching video content and also viewing additional information, such as extra chat threads, notifications from the Messages apps, and E-mails.

The glass back captures fingerprints and dust extremely quickly. If you want to avoid this you should use a good quality case; it also helps you to avoid drop damages. Without a case, you’re actually holding your own personal crime evidence CSI: Texas crime scene…Just kidding.

Actually, you’re holding your own personal Just like the rest of the iPhone 12 mobile phones, you’re either going to like or dislike the boxy edges. I think they’re great, particularly on a phone of small size. The boxy edge provides me a safe hold on the phone without having any complications. Flat boxy edges also give users advantages, they can stand the iPhone 12 Mini on its side, for taking pictures or watching video content.

If you distinguish between the 12 and 12 Pro iPhones, the main thing you notice screen looks small, and the iPhone 12 Pro Max wins the race easily with a 6.7-inch OLED display panel. Some people may don’t like this small screen but it is the influencing point for me to choose the iPhone 12 Mini. Cause, I want to touch every section of the display with easy thumb movement. It’s really very comfortable.

The last generation,iPhone 11 Pro is slightly bigger than it, 11 pro has a 5.8-inch OLED panel. It also can not satisfy me. Because I cant operate it one-handed. And if I wanted to reach the top, I often had to stretch my thumb or relax my grip, and it would eventually drop my iPhone.

The ios 14 has a brilliant application that enhances our one handed useability is known as reachability. If you swipe down on the bottom portion of the screen then the top screen portion’s icons come to the middle. It helps you many times when you have multiple works on the top side of the screen.

Another one thing, I notice that the typing accuracy is increased by iPhone 12 mini, I use it more than one week for review purposes. I hardly find any mistakes in typing on those days. You can easily put the iPhone 12 Mini in the pocket, it’s very small that you easily put it in the Jeans coin pocket.

Now, all the common issues you face in your device have a simple solution. If you haven’t used them before, you may need some help with them. Other than that, you don’t need any expert knowledge or training to solve the issues. In other words, you can solve the common issues in Samsung S20 by yourself. So, keep reading to know more about it.

7 Most Common Samsung S20 Problems with Solutions

Many issues may commonly show up in your Samsung device — some of them are quite complicated and may need some time and expertise to solve. In other cases, you must consider reaching out to a Samsung service center. But, in most cases, you can solve the issue yourself.

So, here are some of the most common issues that users report and their fixes:

1. Randomly Freezes

This issue is quite common in most phones, regardless of the brand. In most cases, this problem might indicate a low RAM. In that case, you need to clear some space in it by deleting unnecessary files and apps. Have you started facing this issue after downloading a certain application? In that case, it might be creating a glitch within your phone, and you need to delete it.

To make sure that the app is the culprit, run the device in Safe Mode. For that, you need to press the volume down and power buttons together. Then, hold down the power off option when a list appears on the screen. Tap on the Safe Mode option from the list. From this point, your phone will only run apps from the manufacturer. If your device functions properly now, that means you have a troublesome app on your device.

If you still can’t fix the issue — consider restoring the factory settings. That might get rid of any error that’s causing the problem.

2. The Battery dies too fast

When it comes to battery life, you can expect great performance from Samsung S20. It comes with an optimal battery life that’s more than what its previous models had. But, many users have complained that their devices drain the battery too quickly. Are you facing the same issue? In that case, you need to navigate to the Battery Usage in the Settings immediately. There, you can have a look at the programs that consume most of the power.

The issue with the battery is very rarely a manufacturing defect from what it seems. In many cases, users have found that an app uses too much battery life. Do you find the same issue in your case? Then, you need to get rid of the app or game that causes the error as soon as possible. So, there’s no other viable solution for it, unfortunately.

3. Delayed Push Notifications

There are many circumstances where you’d want to receive notifications as soon as possible. But, you might notice that they’re always delayed on your device. In case you’re wondering, many other users have reported this issue. So, you aren’t the only one facing it.

Now, you might wonder what causes the problem. The latest Samsung models come with enhanced battery-saving features. You can make them run the apps in a way that minimizes the power they consume. In case you didn’t know, you’ll receive delayed notifications if you enabled that setting. So, you need to disable it to fix the issue. But, you must keep in mind that this will increase battery consumption.

As a solution for this, navigate to the Battery Optimization section in the App settings. Select All Apps and go to the one that sends delayed notifications. Disable the settings that optimize its battery usage if that’s enabled.

4. Restarts Randomly

Does your device restart automatically and at any time? Now, this isn’t normal at all and indicates a problem. Also, this can get you into inconvenient situations sometimes when you need to use your device. So, you’d want a quick solution for it. In that case, you must find out what’s causing the issue first.

Troublesome apps are one of the most common causes behind this issue. So, you need to restart your device in Safe Mode as given in the first solution. That will help you know whether the third-party apps cause the problem. If you find your device running without any issues, it might indicate a troublesome app. In that case, you must remove the one that you suspect or the latest one installed.

Also, outdated software causes random freezes in many cases. So, you must update your device to get a lasting solution to this problem.

5. The Camera doesn’t Work

The Samsung S20 comes with a high-quality camera that’s much better than previous models. Overall, it has optimal performance and all the great features you’d want in your phone’s camera. But, many users often report that it stopped working on their devices. If you’re facing the same problem, you need not approach a repair centre right away. You can try and fix it yourself at home.

You might want to start with the simplest solutions. So, try restarting the device by pressing the power and volume down buttons until it restarts. Then, check whether you’re still facing the issue. If you are, then try clearing all cache from the app settings. Apart from that, updating the system and the camera app can help you fix the issue. If nothing else helps, you must reset factory settings on the device.

6. Overheating

Do you use the device while charging? In that case, it might overheat randomly. So, you must let it rest when you’re charging it. Apart from that, this issue also indicates a RAM shortage in phones and computers. So, you might want to make sure whether that’s the case.

Go to the Apps section in your Settings and clear all caches for each application. Also, browsers usually have a lot of cache files. So, make sure to clear them as well. Apart from that, get rid of any apps that you haven’t been using lately. All these steps can help you clear a good amount of RAM in our device. Background apps can take up quite a lot of memory. So, don’t forget to disable them from the Settings. Also, try reducing the display settings if the above-mentioned steps aren’t enough.

7. Can’t connect Bluetooth Devices

Bluetooth headphones are increasingly replacing wired ones. As such, you need the Bluetooth in your device to function properly. But, many S20 users report issues while connecting their phones to Bluetooth devices. In case you’re facing the same problem, there are some simple fixes for it.

Temporary errors in the device’s functioning can cause issues like this one. But, what causes these errors? In this case, the Bluetooth cache files might be the root cause. So, you must clear all of them from the app settings.

What to do when you can’t fix the issue?

Smartphones Under 15,000

The category appears to be more exciting than ever before, and it appeals to a diverse range of users. If you’re looking for a new smartphone, here are the finest options around Rs 15,000 for June 2021.

With the debut of the Redmi Note 10S in mid-May, Xiaomi has made the under Rs 15000 smartphone sector pretty attractive. The Redmi Note 10, Poco X3, and Realme 8G were all interesting possibilities in the category, but the Redmi Note 10S adds to the heat. Most of these phones have AMOLED displays, and some even have high refresh rates and 5G connectivity, which were not available on inexpensive phones until last year.

Redmi Note 10S

The Redmi Note 10S is the newest addition to the category, providing interested clients with a better option than the previously existing Redmi Note 10 without boosting the price too much. The base variant of the smartphone costs Rs 14,999. The display is a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED with a 60Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G95 octa-core processor. The Redmi Note 10S is powered by a 5000mAh battery and runs Android 11.

A 64-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro camera are all included in the phone. It has a 13-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. In India, the smartphone also debuted MIUI 12.5 which is a refreshing experience to use.

Our conclusion: The Redmi Note 10S appears to be a fantastic smartphone with a nice design, a small form factor, a sharp display, and decent cameras. Given that it covered all price points between Rs 12,000 and Rs 22,000, we still think Xiaomi could have omitted it, but that’s completely a brand decision.

Realme 8 5G

The Realme 8G, which is also priced at Rs 14,999 and, as the name says, supports 5G, is a direct competitor to the Redmi Note 10S. The phone has a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ 90Hz display with a 90.5 screen-to-body ratio and a pixel density of 405 pixels per inch. An octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor powers the Realme 8 5G.

The 48-megapixel main camera on the Realme 8 5G is accompanied by a 2-megapixel monochrome camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera. There’s a 16-megapixel selfie camera on the front.

Our Judgement – The smartphone is future-ready, which means you won’t need to buy a new phone for at least a year, when India is projected to have the requisite 5G infrastructure. Not only does the phone have 5G, but it also has a silky-smooth display, a long-lasting battery, and likely good cameras.

Redmi Note 10

Despite the competition and subsequent releases, the Redmi Note 10 remains one of the best smartphones around Rs 15,000 in India. It has a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 display and a 6.43-inch Full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with 1100 nits peak brightness. A 48-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro camera are all included in the smartphone. It has a 13-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies.

Conclusion: For the price, we found the Redmi Note 10 to be a very capable device. It has a good display, a stylish design, and a long battery life.

Motorola Moto G30

Moto G30
Moto G30

It’s encouraging to see Motorola learn from its errors and properly price their phones. The Moto G30 is a perfect example of this. The phone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor and 4GB of RAM as well as 64GB of storage.

It comes with a 5,000mAh battery and a 20W charger, as well as an HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. A 64-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor make up the quad-camera configuration on the Moto G30.

Our Opinion – For Rs 10,999, it offers an impressive camera setup as well as a good processor for simple tasks. Given its price tag, the Moto G30’s battery life is actually quite good. As a result, it qualifies as a budget-friendly device.

Poco X3

Poco X3
Poco X3

The Poco X3 is the only smartphone on this list that stands out from the rest. It’s the only phone under Rs 15,000 with a 120Hz refresh rate and a significantly more powerful chipset. The phone’s 6GB RAM and 64GB storage option is priced at Rs 14,999. A 6000mAh battery, 120Hz refresh rate display, Snapdragon 732 SoC, and 64-megapixel primary camera sensor are all included.

Apart from the processor, the most of the features are identical to those found in the more expensive Poco X3 Pro. Both phones have a striking resemblance in appearance.
