Epic Games has announced via a Twitter Post that the Fortnitemares Update is dropping on 21st October 2020 at 4:00 AM ET in a V14.40 Patch Version.
This new Patch Version is said to bring along with it, the much Awaited Fortnitemares Update and also other bug fixes along with it.
This Update is said to sport many new Cosmetics, Skins, and In-Game Changes along with Vaulting and Un-Vaulting of Several Weapons.

Fortnite V14.40 – Reduced PC File Size
Epic Games also Said that the new Update File size for the PC Version of the game is going to be bigger than Normal. It is said to be around 27GB for the PC Version of Fortnite.
The V14.40 Update on PC is huge because as stated by Epic Games, it is to reduce the Overall File Size of the Entire Fortnite Game to around 60GB. Thereby resulting in much faster load times and smaller download sizes for future game patches.
The Official Downtime for the V14.40 will start at 4:00 AM ET (8:00 UTC).

The Official Creator Patch Notes for the V14.40 has also been released.

So, as said in the patch notes guys, there is some real and massive changes coming to Fortnite in the upcoming Update. The shadows of the zombies has invaded the Island atlast.
#1 Ghostly New Gameplay
This Fortnitemares Update will largely change how Solos, Duos, and Squads will work in the game. The Agency (or The Authority) has finally been reclaimed by the one and only warrior, i.e Midas Himself.
The Notes further says that we can join this army of neither friend nor foe and take our chances to get us a Victory Royale. It isn’t exactly clear what this means at the moment, but more information are supposed to surface once the Update goes Live.
#2 New Fornitemares Challenges
Major changes to the Island Includes New Haunted Huts and daunting decorations as a Part of Halloween.
As part of the Halloween season, there will be a lot of new Challenges and XP Rewards in the new Upcoming Update. Players will receive a Free BackBling, PickAxe, and Much more rewards for completing challenges in-game once the Update goes live.
#3 New Loot Pool Changes
As per latest Updates from Epic Games, the Charge Shotgun will be Vaulted in this new Update. This is said to drastically change the overall gaming experience of the user at the end.
New Ghoulish Weapons have also been added to the New Update to aid in the Shadowy Showdown.
New Type of Traversable Objects are also coming this Update including the ability to fly over the skies like a Witch, more consumables, etc. Also New Marvel Superhero Powers are also getting added into the game with this new Update.
My Thoughts
Overall, I think this New V14.40 Update is going to be the Best Update for the Current Chapter 2 Season 4 of Fortnite. The Halloween Updates are said to be the Best Updates that Epic Games always releases.
